Description:
Highlights from the Original Apprentice tape 1987. This is where it all began for 3D character animation on personal computers. At a time when the only 3D animation software required very expensive workstations, and most were designed for mechanical animation rather than character animation, Martin Hash released Animation:Apprentice for the Amiga. This video features highlights from the 2-hour long video that came with the software. The video was shot in Martin's front room at his house. The office literally was in the garage. Towards the end of the video, Martin shows an example of "Saturday Morning" mode, which was the original toon shader.
